Welcome back to The Speaking of Phenomenal podcast. I'm your host, Amy Boyle, coming to you from the heart of Chicago. It's been a while since we last connected and I have missed you all. Before we move forward, I want to share a bit about where I've been and what's next for us on this journey together. First, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your patience and support during my hiatus this past year and a half. Well, really, two years has been a whirlwind of emotions and experiences. I lost my beloved mother, a pillar of strength and love in my life, and navigating through this loss has been one of the most challenging periods of my life. But in the midst of this profound grief, I found a renewed sense of purpose and seeking to honor my mother's legacy of perseverance and love for learning. I made the decision to go back and complete my graduate studies. It was a journey filled with late nights, endless cups of coffee, and an unwavering determination to cross that finish line. And I'm proud to say I did it. This achievement is not just a personal milestone. It's a testament to the strength we all have within us to face life's toughest challenges and emerge stronger. During this time away, I also had the chance to reflect on the direction of the. Speaking of phenomenal podcasts, this show has always been about sharing stories that inspire, challenge, and ignite our inner phenomenal selves. But before we step into the new season, I encourage you to revisit season one. We had some incredible conversations with guests who shared their journeys and lessons they've learned along their way. Each episode is a reminder that phenomenal stories are all around us, waiting to be heard and waiting to be shared. And now, looking ahead, I'm thrilled to kick off season two with an extraordinary guest, Shannon Gomes. Shannon's story is one of resilience, creativity and the power of chasing your dreams.
